P2 – The Development of advanced composite materials based on polyvinyl chloride and graphene oxide, with improved fire performance to protect life
The project aims to produce composite materials based on vinyl chloride and various concentrations (0.5-5%) of functionalized graphene oxide with amines, organic oligomers of hypophosphoric acid and reactive organic compounds rich in phosphorus and nitrogen (hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene) and hydroxyethyl acrylate, with improved fire performance in order to protect life. Composite materials will be characterized to elucidate their morpho-structural features and the reaction to fire will be assessed by ignitability measurements.
