P3 – The development of advanced composite materials based on particleboard and graphene oxide, with improved fire performance to protect life
The project aims to produce innovative composites based on particle board (PAL) and various concentrations (0.5-5%) of graphene oxide without functionalization and functionalized with phosphorus oxide and nitrogen and phosphorus-rich organic compounds (melamine, melamine polyphosphate), with increased fire performance and improved fire-retardant properties. The composite materials will be characterized to elucidate their morpho-structural and mechanical features and the reaction to fire will be assessed by ignitability measurements.
